Jatropha Circas Bush From Africa Is The Latest BioDiesel Fuel Source

April 4th, 2007 by admin

Jatropha Circas, or as the native Africans call it "jatropha bush" has been found to be a good source of oil for biodiesel production. There are many Jatropha plantations being set up all around Africa, where the jatropha bush has grown forever, but served the locals with no purpose.

Being a non-food-crop makes it a great find, as before we have been limited to various food crops, like corn and soy. But it is wondered if the lands of Africa will be transformed into Jatropha plantations instead of being used to grow food that is so desperately needed in that region.
