Do you know there are tons of things to think about when picking out a right dog for you or your loved ones. How you live will affect the type of dogs that are suitable.

For example, a dog that craves for attention will most definitely fit in well in a family with children. However, you don't want to pick out a breed that might be too big in size for the kids.

These are some of the factors you need to consider before going out and bring one home. It's exciting but it's a long term commitment.

Before you actually make a decision on which breed to buy, evaluate your environment and your lifestyle. These are important because they will help you choose the right breed and avoid much misery later on.

Take your time and choose wisely. It's advisable you read the following guide at least once to know what to look out for when picking out the right dog for yourself:

The world is getting smaller and smaller as the population grows. And with the increasing number of vehicles being manufactured every month just to meet the rising demand for transportation, buying a car with the expected magnitude of traffic jams seems like an impractical idea.

It is for this reason that a lot of us have turned to scooters, which are comparatively lightweight, easier to maintain, and a whole lot cheaper to buy and take care of. And, more recently, thanks to the innovative mind, electric mobility scooters have been introduced to the market.

The main goal of an electric mobility scooter is to provide convenience. Because traffic can be such a headache, the size of scooters allows its riders to just breeze through and get to their destinations even faster than taking a car or a cab on a normal day. And because scooters have varying speeds, thrill seekers (and people who are always on the go) will benefit greatly from this piece of equipment.

An electric mobility scooter is a little expensive compared to the regular gas-powered scooter, but this is primarily because its popularity has not peaked yet. In some countries, electric mobility scooters have not even been heard of, so it's not likely that it's price would go down anytime in the next few years. However, as more and more people become aware of its existence, and its many advantages, it will definitely be more available and accessible over the long term.

The best use for an electric mobility scooter is for the handicapped and the elderly. Because both have difficulty traveling from one location to another, electric mobility scooters will allow them to effortlessly move about. Senior citizens and handicapped persons will no longer feel like they're too dependent on their care givers because with an electric mobility scooter, they can already get to any place they want without having to ask for help.

The downside to an electric mobility scooter, however, is that it needs to charged to work. If there is no electricity, the scooter will be useless. However, some people still find that it beats having to deal with erratic gas price increases. Over time, perhaps, more people will appreciate the electric scooter, especially if it is sold at a lower cost. But, until then, we hope that it catches on.

by Donovan Baldwin

A couple of ground rules first. When I say to kick back and relax for weight loss, I don't mean to imply that there is no effort involved in losing weight. The old truths still remain. If you eat more calories than you use, you gain weight. If you use more calories than you take in, you lose weight. A combination of exercise and sensible nutrition are the key. Nuff said!
However, trying too hard to lose weight can actually sabotage your weight loss efforts while possibly creating an unhealthy situation for you.
First of all some simple facts. If you cut your food intake too drastically or limit your food choices, in addition to potentially depriving yourself of essential nutrients, you may actually alter your metabolism so that your body learns to survive on fewer calories. Not only does this mean that strict dieting may result in only small losses, but, as so often happens, when you finally fall off the diet wagon your body will continue to use fewer calories for its daily functions and activities and store even more fat than before. This is why yo-yo dieters tend to gain weight over time.
Seriously restricting your food intake may also deprive you of energy. This can result in lowered ability and willingness to actually perform the very activities that can help burn calories. An extreme decrease in nutrients coupled with related psychological effects may also produce a mental unwillingness to keep going with the program. Since, at least it seems to me, one of the reasons for weight loss is to be happy, healthy, and enjoy life more, creating this sort of situation seems like a lose-lose proposition.
From the physical standpoint, trying too hard in terms of difficulty or amount of exercise may result in actual physical injury. At the very least, someone trying to do more than they are actually capable of may reach a point where their body and mind team up to demand that they "knock it off".
Now, let's talk about stress and weight loss.
If you are trying too hard, whether physically or mentally, you are stressed. In fact, as soon as you decide to "go on a diet" or "start trying to lose weight", you are under stress. Ever hear of "stress eating"? Well, it's real. There are psychological and physiological reasons why, but the bottom line is that when under stress, many of us are tempted to eat more. Chemicals in our bloodstream, such as cortisol, not only cause us to want more food, but even act as a drug, which they are, producing nearly irresistible cravings in some people.
So here's what you do.
Start your exercise program off at an easy pace. Slowly increase the difficulty or time. There's no hurry. The key to good weight loss results with exercise is to keep at it for weeks, months, and even years. In fact, if you're on the right track, you are creating a lifetime habit.
Make your nutritional choices wisely. There is no law anywhere that says a piece of pie or bowl of ice cream will send you back into the gutter. In fact, there is no reason why such treats cannot be an occasional reward for good behavior. The occasional nutritional indiscretion will not offset a daily lifestyle of exercise and good nutritional choices.
Try to relax. Try meditation, yoga, long walks, prayer, good conversations with friends…whatever works for you. Get a good night's sleep, because being short on sleep can actually trigger cortisol production. Yes, this is a bad thing. A good night's sleep can help your weight loss program immensely.

Last, but definitely not least, recognize that you are only human and will err no matter how hard you try. You would tell your best friend to forget about it and just get back on track if she admitted to pigging out on a quart of Rocky Road. Be your own best friend and learn to forgive yourself.

About the Author

Donovan Baldwin is a Dallas area writer. O-rings are simple. Super simple. According to Wikipedia:

An O-ring is a loop of elastomer with a round (o-shaped) cross-section used as a mechanical seal or gasket. They are designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the interface.

Now, many of use have used o-rings before. They are generally made of rubber or a rubber-like material. I have used them on plumbing repairs, lawnmower and car engine work, and even on stuff like fixing a thermos container.

O-rings are one of the most common seals used in machine design because they are inexpensive and easy to make, reliable, and have simple mounting requirements. It is one of the simplest, yet most engineered, precise, and useful designs ever developed.

They are so simple, but did you know there were so many types? Look at this:
Synthetic Rubbers:

Acrylonitrile butadiene copolymers (NBR)

Butadiene rubber (BR)

Butyl rubber (IIR)

Chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM)

Epichiorohydrin (ECH, ECO)

Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)

Ethylene propylene monomer (EPM)

Fluoroelastomers (FKM)

Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM)

Polyacrylate (ACM)

Polychloroprene (CR)

Polyisoprene (IR)

Polysulfide rubber (PSR)

Semi-Conductive Fluorocarbon with nano carbon tubes.

Silicone rubber (SiR)

Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)

Thermoplastics:

Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) styrenics

Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, ULDPE

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) polyether, polyester

Thermoplastic etheresterelastomers (TEEEs) copolyesters

Thermoplastic polyamide (PEBA) Polyamides

Melt Processible Rubber (MPR)

Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV)

I have no idea what many of those are, but I am glad that a patent claim was applied for in 1937 by a then 72 year old Danish-born man, Niels Christensen. He never got the patent on the intellectual property rights, which is sad to say. A shame, I say. Without the o-ring, a good amount of the things we use and take for granted every day may never have been possible.

Thank you Niels, for inventing the o-ring. In many (mechanical) ways, it was as important as the microprocessor was to the Digital Age.

Pool furniture is both a good and a bad thing to have. It is good during the warmer seasons, as it helps you enjoy your pool, but if you neglect to store it properly, or at all, you could be wasting the money you spent!

Swiming season in Texas starts around the the beginning of April, and ends sometime in September. If you have a heated pool, you can extend that time frame greatly, but you cannot do much about the temperature outside. This is where needing to store your pool, patio and deck furniture comes into play.

Storage of pool furniture can consist of simple coverings, moving to the garage or storage shed, or specialized dedicated storage buildings or enclosures made for keeping your pool furniture in like-new condition. With proper care, your pool furniture can last for years, instead of a single season.

I have made the (costly) mistake of forgetting/neglecting/being too lazy to put the pool furniture up properly, and we have gone through a few sets. Usually low-end stuff, from places like Target and Sears, but also a few pieces which were of better quality, like a nice sling-type chair we picked up at an art fair. Even with being out in the Texas sun 365 days a year, it lasted over 4 years. Quality means durability, but high price does not always equal quality.

This year, I think we will be getting some new pool furniture. Possibly some Teak pool furniture, as Teak is popular and durable. If we do actually get some Teak pool furniture, we will definately be taking better care of it than pool furniture from days-gone-past.

Jatropha Circas, or as the native Africans call it "jatropha bush" has been found to be a good source of oil for biodiesel production. There are many Jatropha plantations being set up all around Africa, where the jatropha bush has grown forever, but served the locals with no purpose.

Being a non-food-crop makes it a great find, as before we have been limited to various food crops, like corn and soy. But it is wondered if the lands of Africa will be transformed into Jatropha plantations instead of being used to grow food that is so desperately needed in that region.

You can find more info on Jatropha Circas & its biodiesel uses at the following links:

Some things that I noticed today made me thing a little. Very little actually. People search for the funniest things sometimes, and other times, strange things.

Some of the more common searches I saw today were for things like Google Maps, which was searched for via google map, www google maps and also googlemaps com, each of which return Google Maps as the first result. Make sense.

Same thing for AOL Music which can be found at aolmusic in the Google search box.

Top 3 Reasons People Type aolmusic Instead Of aolmusic.com

You are there already

You are too important to have to type '.com'

N00b13!

Anyways, I also wanted to mention that people who are searching for how to read probably should not be on the internet in the first place. If you need how to read help, maybe you should go to the library. It's that big building with books where they do NOT sell them. That would be a bookstore, way advanced for you at the moment.

But then, you can't read this, so no harm-no foul!

When we moved, one of the things we had to do was to empty out some of our 'stuff' from our house, to make it look larger, and allow the potential buyers to picture their 'stuff' in the rooms. We had to get two 10×12 storage buildings to store our belongings in. Once we sold our old home and bought our new home, we moved that stuff into it.

Everybody is into convenience these days. For instance, electric motorized scooters, which have originally been designed for people with very limited mobile capacities, have found their way into the hands of ordinary people who just want to get away from the hassle of owning cars.

While we're not saying that car ownership is a lot of trouble, the fact that electric scooters are offering a quicker alternative to get a certain destination is the reason why its popularity is fast rising.

And with the worsening of traffic conditions, it won't be a surprise if every household has at least one electric motorized scooter in its garage.

An electric motorized scooter, as its name suggests, is run using electricity. The unit is hooked up to an outlet, charged and then used. If the battery shows signs of weakening, you will need to recharge so it doesn't conk out on you in the middle of nowhere.

Some critics have even panned the idea of an electric scooter because they say it is a burden on one's electricity bill. However, its fans argue that it is a great solution to the world's dependence on oil and gas, which are fast becoming scarce.

The main goal of an electric motorized scooter is to provide convenience. Because traffic can be such a headache, the size of scooters allows its riders to just breeze through and get to their destinations even faster than taking a car or a cab on a normal day. And because scooters have varying speeds, thrill seekers (and people who are always on the go) will benefit greatly from this piece of equipment.

In short, electric motorized scooters are not just for those who have trouble moving around. They can also be a great advantage to those who just want to enjoy their surroundings without being delayed by traffic and other conditions.

Before electric motor scooters were invented, handicapped people had no choice but to contend with a limited mobile life. Sure, a wheelchair can get them from one point of the house to another, but it doesn't have the ability to travel long distances. On the contrary, an electric motor scooter can bring them from the house to the grocery store and back effortlessly, so they don't feel cooped up and useless.

The key thrust of electric motor scooter sales is independence. Because it allows the handicapped and the elderly to move about without having to ask help from anyone, it boosts their self esteem. No longer will they have to worry about bothering anyone about performing daily mundane tasks and the better they start feeling about themselves.

While there are also gas powered scooters, electric motor scooters are more convenient to use. This is because you no longer need to go to the gas station to fill up. All you need to do is plug the electric motor scooter into an electrical outlet and wait a couple of hours for it recharge fully. After which, you can start enjoying another trip around the neighborhood again.

Electric motor scooters also come in portable and foldable versions. If you travel around a lot, you can simply fold up or disassemble your electric motor scooter and the plane won't even scold you for it. Electric scooters can go as light as 22 pounds.

The average price of electric motor scooters is $800, but you can already own one for as low as $580. This is still pretty expensive, though, but once the demand starts to catch on, the price of electric motor scooters is expected to go down. Soon, everyone will be wanting an electric motor scooter of their own.

Of course, before you buy an electric motor scooter, be sure that that particular model is really what you need. There are different versions of electric scooters so it would be best to obtain information from the Internet first before you sign that receipt. Electric scooters are practical, yes, but if you find no use for it in your personal life and would just like to get with the fad, then you better rethink your decision.

Scooters are low maintenance vehicles. You don't have to worry about space in the garage if you own a scooter, and never again will you have to fuss over heavy traffic.

Indeed, scooters can maneuver through the tightest of jams and take you to anyplace you want without fear of getting stuck and becoming extremely late somewhere. To add, you can also kiss elusive car parking slots goodbye.

As if scooters are still not great machines, some innovative minds have come up with electric powered scooters. The product is relatively new so not everyone might already know about it. In fact, we rarely see electric powered scooters cruising the streets. But that does not discount the fact that they are very practical to use, especially at a time oil and gas prices are showing no signs of backing down.

An electric powered scooter, as its name suggests, is run using electricity. The unit is hooked up to an outlet, charged and then used. If the battery shows signs of weakening, you will need to recharge so it doesn't conk out on you in the middle of nowhere.

Some critics have also panned the idea of an electric powered scooter because they say it is a burden on one's electricity bill. However, its fans argue that it is a great solution to the world's dependence on oil and gas, which are fast becoming scarce.

Electric powered scooters come in various sizes and designs. Like the regular scooters, they also can run in different speeds. So if you want to just cruise around suburbia, you have your electric powered scooter to assure you that your feet won't get tired.

For now, electric powered scooters are still a little expensive. But when the product catches on and the demand increases, it will become more accessible to many people. A lot of us always complain about always being late to somewhere because of traffic. Now, you can go from one place to another in just a short time. The best thing is, you won't even have to burn fuel anymore, so you're also doing the environment a favor.

Almost anybody can benefit from owning an electric scooter. Aside from the convenience of just plugging the unit to an electrical outlet to make it work, you no longer need to spend so much on gas, especially at a time that world oil prices are continuing to skyrocket.

Scooters are very easy to use. Apart from being relatively cheap compared to cars, they also get you to your destination faster. It's small size will enable any rider to maneuver through even the heaviest of traffic jams. And with its varying speed selections, thrill seekers see it as a vehicle of choice.

While electric scooters are still expensive in the long run, as they will still eat up your electricity consumption, it affords the owner convenience. And for most people, this convenience is worth the electric bill increase.

Because electric scooters and any other type of scooter for that matter are also not contrived, people who love the open will get a kick out of it. It will not protect you from the rain, however, but some people do find romance in bathing in the rain while rushing through the streets on a scooter. But, of course, that's very subjective.

Even the elderly and the handicapped can benefit from owning an electric scooter. If they found it difficult to get from one place to another before, they can do so easily if they are on an electric scooter. It's not advisable to use an electric scooter on long trips, though, but if you just want to get to the nearby park or the local grocery store, you won't have any trouble.

Another benefit of electric scooters is that they are portable. So even if you travel far, you can still bring it along. Some e-scooters are foldable so they're very convenient to pack.

This mobile lifestyle is a must have for senior citizens and the handicapped, and, basically, just about anyone who wants to get around town without having to walk. And with the technology covering electric scooters continuing to advance, it won't be a surprise if we will see better and a lot cheaper versions as the demand rises in the coming years.

Scooters are fun to use. And with an electric scooter, no longer will you need to fuss over gas prices. Wherever there is an outlet, you can easily recharge and be on the go again.

Scooters are probably one of the most convenient and easy to use vehicles around. Unlike a car, you don't really have to go through driving school to be able to handle a scooter safely.

Sometimes, all you even have to have is the knowledge on how to ride an ordinary bike and you're good to go. If you're planning on doing tricks with your electric scooter, however, you will have to go through another kind of training, of course.

What is it about scooters that appeals to us? Perhaps it is fact that scooters are so small that they can outmaneuver any car at any place. Because we live at a time where traffic jams are commonplace, owning a scooter or a bike is one of the most practical decisions we can have.

How do we choose an electric scooter or bike? Given the fact that there are several types of electric scooters, choosing the right one to suit our needs can be a challenge.

For instance, do you want an electric scooter or bike that can be disseassembled for easy storage? Are you planning to bring this scooter around with you when you travel? There are electric scooter or bike models that can be as light as 22 pounds, so even if you are intending to board a plane it won't be a nuisance.

You can also choose between a two wheeler, three wheeler, and four wheeler. Naturally, the four wheeler models are the heaviest and bulkiest, but if safety is your concern, or if you're buying an electric scooter or bike for someone who is handicapped, you should choose on a four-wheel version.

Speed limits on electric scooters or bikes are lower than the regular gas powered scooters, but they are fast nonetheless. Just because they run on electricity doesn't mean they're of the wimpy sort. Electric scooters and bikes are not just toys to make you look cute. They are actually very functional. The average price of an electric scooter or bike is $800, but you can own one for as low as $580.

Now that you know the basics about electric scooters or bikes, it is hoped that you will make a better decision with your purchase.

There are many electric scooter brands out there, but not all are as reliable or positively reviewed as the ones we will be mentioning here. In fact, most people have this misconception that any electric scooter is just as good as another. This is where we are wrong.

How the machine is made and what features it carries should be the basis for judging if an electric scooter is worth your money or not. Oh, yes. Electric scooters are not just mobile thingies you plug in order to run. Like their gas powered counterparts, they have features.

What are the best electric scooter brands in the market today? Here are five of them, in no particular order.

1) The Pride Mobility Sundancer

It's one of the best three wheel electric scooters around because of its easy maneuverability despite the fast that its a little larger than usual.

2) Drive's Phantom 3-Wheel Scooter

Though it has a small design, it is not lacking in power. It has a swivel seats that has several locking position and an adjustable armrest for greater transfering convenience. Aside from being very easy to drive around, it also can be folded down and fit into any car trunk.

3) Shoprider Mobility's Sunrunner 4

It weighs 300 pounds but all of that is offset by its many features, which include electromagnetic brakes, a 50 inch turning radius, headlights, a front basket and a deluxe captain's seat.

4) Golden Technologies 4-Wheel Companion

The best feature of this wonderful vehicle is that it can automatically shut down when not in use, thus, saving power.

5) The Pride Hurricane PMV

This is the best unit for those who want speed, too. It can run for as fast as 9 miles per hour despite weighing 400 pounds!

People with problems with mobility will surely benefit from owning an electric scooter. They are designed with their users' safety and convenience in mind. However, while you might be compelled to think that you can't go wrong with any electric scooter, heed the above advice to get the best the market has to offer.

Thanks to the Internet, finding the right kind of electric scooter to suit your needs has been simplified by just a few clicks of the mouse.

Thanks to the Internet, finding the right kind of electric scooter to suit your needs has been simplified by just a few clicks of the mouse. No longer will you need to go from store to store just to come upon the perfect model. All you need to do is type in what you need and out come hundreds of sites offering it.

But finding what scooter is for you is not solved by simply logging on to the net. Since there are many scooter models that more or less meet your expectations, you will still be facing a choice in the end. This is where reviews come in.

If you're eyeing a particular brand and version, be sure to check out what past and present owners and users have to say about the product before deciding to buy it. This is the practice that is recommended with any other kind of purchase, so the same should be applied when you're trying to find the scooter of your dreams (and budget).

It's not difficult to search the Net for electric scooters. The challenge lies in the choosing and in the confirming of the veracity of the reviews written about it. Don't just settle at one site to get all the information you need about your electric scooter. Try to look up at least five sites and compare their opinions and descriptions to be sure.

After all, you'll be spending good money on this machine, so you might as well be very vigilant at the onset. There are electric scooters for different sizes and for different functions. If you're the outdoorsy type, you will find that a four wheel electric scooter works best with nature trips and if you're just looking to cruise around the neighborhood, the 22 pound electric scooters will suffice.

In short, how you can successfully find the perfect electric scooter depends on why you want to buy one and what your budget dictates. But if you've found the perfect model but hesitate because it's way beyond your budget, you can again search the Internet for used versions of the same model and se if you can get it at half the price. Happy hunting!

The popularity of electric scooters is fast rising nowadays, what with the growing need for a more practical vehicle to maneuver through heavy traffic and the continuing increase in gas and fuel prices. Having said this, if you're looking to find electric scooters for sale, you won't have trouble finding where they are.

You will see electric scooters for sale all over the Internet. What you need to do is just type 'electric scooters for sale' on the search engine of your choice and you will be faced with literally hundreds of online stores offering all kinds and makes of electric scooters. You can choose from a two-wheel drive, a three-wheel drive, or a four-wheel drive. In short, everything you need on electric scooters can be found on the Internet.

You can also see electric scooters for sale on local motorcycle shops. Because electric scooters are fast becoming the vehicle of choice for many, finding several of these babies on motor shops will not be a problem. However, you might not find all models in one store. Your best option, if this is the case, is to contact the manufacturer directly ask for a catalog of their products.

Another great source of electric scooters on sale are forums. Here, not only will you be able to buy all sorts of electric scooters, but you might also chance upon customized versions, as well as used ones. Since electric scooters retail for around $700, you might find something as low as $350 at the forums. It's going to be already used, of course, so just make sure that you know all the details about the unit before you make a deal.

The popularity of electric scooters might entice you to buy the first thing you see on the market just so you can say that you own one. However, consider purchasing an electric scooter for its function and purpose. An electric scooter is not just something you can use to cruise around the block with. You can actually use it to go to work. For some models, they can even go as fast as ten miles per hour, so you're also not lacking in the speed department.

To reiterate, an electric scooter is not merely a stylish piece of equipment. If you know how to use it, you will be able to maximize its full benefits.

Like any other piece of equipment, your electric scooter is also subject to potential wear. Just because it's pretty compact and doesn't use gas to run does not mean that it is forever spared from possible breakdowns. So, if your electric scooter unit bogs down, where can you take it? Are there any electric scooter repair shops around?

Fortunately for you, because an electric scooter operates on a simple and commonplace electric mechanism, you can have it repaired at a local electronics or motorcycle shops. Some shops that have absolutely no experience with electric scooters might get intimidated and turn you down, but it's really not complicated to redo at all.

If going to neighborhood repair shops is not an option for you, you can contact the dealer who sold you the scooter and ask where you can have it fixed. More likely, the dealer will also have people who know how to repair these kinds of vehicles, so you can just as well consider it a one-stop shop. Also, check if your unit is still covered by the warranty so you can have it repaired for free.

It will probably take just a few days to repair your scooter. For minor damage, you might even only need to wait a few hours to get it back up and running again. Overall, you shouldn't expect your electric scooter to be free of hassles forever. Because it also gets tired from constant use, it will expectely give out at some point.

But, if you also do not use your electric scooter often, the underuse could also contribute to the damage. If you don't plan on using it regularly, make sure it is properly stored and placed away from moisture. You paid quite a price for your electric scooter. And while you don't wear it down with constant use, the least you can do it maintain it well.

This is the same principle you should practice when it comes to buying electric scooters.
There aren't many electronic scooters showcased at physical motor and vehicles stores, so you won't be able to scrutinize everything. However, you can make your initial assessments based on the reviews you find on the Internet.
While it is true that not all reviews are genuine, as review fabrication is one of the tactics some marketers use, exposing yourself to different review sites will help give you a general idea about a certain product.

If don't want to rely on just any kind of review. You can always check with Consumer Reports or Best Buy for up to date and well researched assessments of various products, including electric scooters. These sources are reliable because they truly test the products they review. So are sure to be getting just the right kind of information.

What should you look for in an electric scooter review? First, when the review and testing was done. Second, who did it and how. Third, his observations regarding the electric scooter's manueverability, stability, features, safety, price, and the manufacturer's customer service offerings. Fourth, if the scooter is eligible for upgrades and add-ons.

Just because an electric scooter looks good on the outside, doesn't mean it's good to go. What is important in an electric scooter is that it can serve its purpose well and won't give you any headaches in the future. Reviews are very important in helping you make the right choice. Take advantage of them.

Electric scooters are not just for the elderly and the handicapped. Anybody who'd want greater convenience in life, or even just a new hobby to tinker with can benefit from owning an electric scooter.

The use of the electric scooter is not confined to simply transporting a person from one place to another. If you're creative, you can find a lot of different ways to enjoy your scooter ride.

Here are some possible uses for your electric scooter:

1) They are perfect to use for carrying loads the car cannot in emergency situations. For instance, if you need to take a certain equipment to the repair shop and the car is not around, you will have no problem doing so if you have an electric scooter. In addition, you won't even have to think about contributing pollutants to the atmosphere.

2) If you need to make a short trip to the neighborhood grocery, your electric scooter will come in handy. Some models have carrying baskets infront or comparments beneath to place your purchases in, but some users have been seen comfortably hanging their bags on the handlebars.

3) While electric scooters may not be used on rough terrain, you can still bring them along when you go camping to enjoy on fairly flat surfaces. There are certain e-scooter models that you can easily pack and fold for trips like these. Your kids will surely appreciate you bringing it along.

4) You can maneuver through heavy traffic and never be late for work or a meeting ever again. Unless, of course, you really meant to be.

5) If you're bored, you can cruise around town on your electric scooter. It could be a great place to spend alone time and do some thinking.

These are just a few of the many things you can do with an electric scooter, even if you are not mobility impaired. With a little creativity and true recognition of the machine's functionality, you will be able to maximize the use of your electric scooter. After all, you paid for it. You might as well get maximum value for your money.

Wheelchairs have evolved over time to give greater comfort and convenience to people who have limited mobility. From simple manual operations, wheelchairs can now be operated automatically with just a few clicks of the button, allowing its riders to perform daily mundane tasks a lot easier and faster.

However, the geniuses that made automatic wheelchairs have also come up with a new invention that is expected to trump wheelchairs in the years to come — electric scooters. Not only are electric scooters easier to use and operate compared to wheelchairs but they are also more chic and stylish that it's not really embarrassing to go around town in it.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of owning an electric scooter is that it takes you to places farther than the wheelchair can. A wheelchair is okay to use if you're just inside the house or in a small enclosed area. But if you want to go to the grocery store or the nearby park, an electric scooter is your ally. While it does not go as fast as gas powered scooters, it is fast nevertheless and can even travel for several miles before needing another recharge.

In addition, with electric scooters, all you have to do is plug it in to store power. Its battery life lasts depending on its usage, but, still, it remains better by several points over wheelchairs.

The good news is, with the growing demand for electric scooters, prices are also starting to go down. You can buy an electric scooter for as low as $580, and can even get one for a cheaper price if you scour auctions, sales, and used electric scooter offers. Of course, whenever you purchase something, check it first for signs of damage and find out where it has been before you make any decision.

The convenience afforded by an electric scooter is something an ordinary wheelchair cannot parallel. Even automatic wheelchairs still cannot hold a candle to electric scooters.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about electronic scooters, to give you a better understanding about its mechanism and why it is fast becoming popular these days.

How do electronic scooters work?

E-scooters function by linking a battery and a motor the adult kick scooter, which is found in standard gas powered scooters. Speeds and brakes are controlled via a switch that is attached to the handlebar. And because electronic scooters are a fairly new invention, laws governing them are still in process, so, technically, no rules are in place.

Electronic scooters have varying speeds, too. The slowest could be at just 10 miles per house, while others can go for as fast at 30 miles per hour, enough to be included in several racing events. In addition, these are also some scooters that can easily go uphill and cut through headwinds.

Why are electric scooters so popular and why do people use them?

E-scooters glide on the road so the feeling of literally cruising the block is there. It's also very useful when you need to do quick errands and short trips to the grocery store. And because it's a pretty new vehicle, it is also a good way to meet new people, as it makes a very interesting conversation piece.

Problems with traffic will also be a thing of the past as scooters can easily maneuver through any tight jam. Never again will you be late for an appointment. Also, you can also say goodbye to having to worry about gas money (though you might see your electric bill rise).

What are the other advantages of electric scooters?

E-scooters are so compact that you are allowed to bring them on public transports like planes, buses and trains. Gas-powered scooters do not have this privilege. Also, you are not a contributor to global warming and noise as they do not emit fumes and are very silent workers. And though most people buy e-scooters as "toy", it is a lot functional than it's perceived.

There are many other things you need to know about e-scooters, but the above information are generally what people ask about this amazing invention. Apart from being a convenient mode of transportation and interesting toy, e-scooters can also be helpful to people with limited mobility, like the handicapped and senior citizens. Indeed, the birth of electronic scooters has brought in so many benefits that a one page list won't suffice.

Electronic scooters have varying speeds, too. The slowest could be at just 10 miles per house, while others can go for as fast at 30 miles per hour, enough to be included in several racing events. Problems with traffic will also be a thing of the past as scooters can easily maneuver through any tight jam. Never again will you be late for an appointment. Electric motor scooters also come in portable and foldable versions. If you travel around a lot, you can simply fold up or disassemble your electric motor scooter and the plane won't even scold you for it. Electric scooters can go as light as 22 pounds.

Also, you can also say goodbye to having to worry about gas money (though you might see your electric bill rise). E-scooters are also so compact that you are allowed to bring them on public transports like planes, buses and trains. Gas-powered scooters do not have this privilege. And though most people buy e-scooters as "toy", it is a lot functional than it's perceived.

In summary, electric scooters are fast becoming the transportation of choice by many people, not just hobbyists and those with limited mobility. And because demand for this equipment is increasing, it is likely to become more accessible and affordable in the years to come.

There is no doubt that an electric scooter can get you someplace, but the issue of how fast it can go is something that deserves discussion. People often have this misconception that because electric scooters were designed primarily for either the elderly and the handicapped, it cannot pick up speed. This is where they are wrong.

While electric scooters are not as fast as gas powered scooters, they are not lacking in the speed department. In fact, some electric scooter models can be as fast as a little over ten miles per hour. So if you're thinking of organizing an electric scooter race, you won't be embarrassed.

Because the concept of an electric scooter is fairly new, not many people accept it as a real mode of transportation. Most of us are still stuck with the wheelchair concept so we don't really see electric scooters as anything more but an improved version of a wheelchair in a more chic and hip form. It's about time to tell the world that electric scooters are more than what the majority perceives of them.

The speed of electric scooters and their overall performance should never be underestimated. Given the heavy traffic we are experiencing nowadays, which really are not showing signs of relenting anytime soon, we might find that owning an electric scooter and going to work with it is one of the most practical decisions we will ever make. Electric scooters are not just for those with limited mobility. Even a perfectly healthy person can take advantage of an electric scooter.

In addition, the fact that electric scooters no longer need gas to go fast is comforting, especially at a time of skyrocketing oil and fuel prices. And while it does hike up our electricity bills, most people see that as a small price to pay for huge convenience electric scooters bring in.

Electric scooters are a very practical buy. In fact, they might even be more practical than buying a car. It doesn't protect you from the rain, though. But if you're looking to get somewhere fast, you can always rely on an electric scooter to serve its function.

Given the times we live in today, where purchase rate of consumer goods are continuing to rise and the price of oil and gas not planning to back down anytime soon, we definitely need an alternative means of transportation that is both efficient and environmentally friendly.

The invention and introduction of electric scooters has been a godsend to many individuals, who used to complain of always being late because of heavy traffic or of the unabating price of gas. Electric scooters are fairly new so the demand is not up yet, but, over time, when the market catches on, it won't be a surprise if we make it our transportation of choice.

What is the difference between a gas powered and electricity powered scooter? Well, aside from the obvious, gas powered scooters are said to run faster, though this could arguable as some models of electric scooters are able to perform in speeds that rival regular scooters'.

But, perhaps, the best thing about the coming of electric scooters is that its use does not contribute to the slow thinning of the ozone layer. Gas scooters burn fuel to run, leaving some sort of chemical dust everytime they are revved. With an electric scooter, however, there's no smoke.

Those who criticize electric scooters say that while it does eliminate worry over gas prices, the electricity bill will then become a problem. Electric scooters need to charged before they can run. So if you're a heavy user, you might find yourself recharging a couple of time or more everyday.

However which way we see it, gas powered scooters and electric scooters each have their own pros and cons. If a bigger electricity bill is something you can live with, then getting an electric scooter is a good and practical decision. But if being environmentally friendly is not a very huge issue for you and you don't have enough funds to finance the rather expensive electric scooter, gas powered scooters will serve you well.

There are lots of electric scooter models in the market today. And since they are primarily created for the convenience of those who are either handicapped or too old to move around, surely anybody can use this piece of equipment — yes, even little girls.

Electric scooter sizes vary, but some can go as light as 22 pounds. Girls can easily maneuver scooters like these without having to ask for help. Thus, if you worry about your child growing tired with walking to school everyday, you can have her use a mini electric scooter. At least, it's more stylish than going on an ordinary bike.

Little girls will enjoy riding around in electric scooters because it gives them a sense of independence and adulthood. Of course, you should not allow your child to go too far without an adult in tow. But if it's just for simple neighborhood trips, surely there's nothing wrong with your little girl operating an electric scooter.

A good brand would be the Zip'r Mobility, whose heaviest model is just 29 pounds. In addition, it has a small basket infront for your little girl to place her things in, much like the bike she uses to go to school in the past. And if you're concerned about her riding home on dark weather, you can breathe easy because it's also equipped with huge headlights.

Another is the Guardian, which has only 22 pounds as its heaviest model. Not only that, it also has 5 different seat adjustments for greater convenience.

so the next time your little girl celebrates her birthday, why not gift her with a nice little electric scooter? Not only is safe and functional, but they are also stylish enough to proudly show off to her friends.

Among the portable and compact vehicles we have today, perhaps there is none the safer for kids than an electric scooter. Of course, by kids, we mean those aged 10 and up, who already know better than to poke their fingers in places where they shouldn't. So, to answer the question, yes, electric scooters can also be for kids' use.

The fact that electric scooters are very easy to use and does not require gas to run, kids do not find any problem handling it. If the battery weakens, all they have to do is plug the unit to an electrical outlet and it already starts charging for the next use.

Compared to the gas powered scooter, an electric scooter is safer for kids' use because they don't have to keep revving the machine. In addition, it doesn't emit harmful gases, so you don't have to worry about your kid getting sick. But, what you do need to worry about is where your kid will likely go when he starts to get the hang of his electric scooter.

Primarily, electric scooters were made to provide convenience for people with limited mobility; that is, the elderly or the handicapped. But even kids can use it also, as long as they are supervised by an adult. The safest electric scooter model for kids is the four-wheeled scooter, because it is the most stable of all.

What is the about electric scooters that entices even kids? The fact that an electric scooter can get you someplace gives kids a semblance of adulthood, in that they get to travel in a piece of equipment even without the knowledge of how to drive a car. An electric scooter is great to bring along during picnics or trips to the beach. Your kids will surely enjoy driving it around and showing it off to their friends.

Finally, while electric scooters are relatively safe for kids' use, it should never be operated without adult assistance. Scooters, though safer, are still machines, and kids might get curious and injure themselves. In addition, electric scooters can also run fast. If your kid has no daredevil tendencies, then you have nothing to worry about. But if speed is something he enjoys, you might not want to leave him alone with scooter.

Because an electric scooter is just like any other vehicle whose looks and design you can experiment with, nobody can tell you that a pink electric scooter is not possible.

In fact, if you want an electric scooter that's pink on one side and blue on the other, there really is nobody who can tell you it's not okay. You are the master of your vehicle and surely you can do anything you want with it, even place a vinyl decal of your own face, if you wish.

But there is something about a pink electric scooter that is very appealing, especially if the owner is a girl or a child. Guys are not spared from pink electric scooters, though, and have every right to own one. Hey, it's a free country, right? Just because you own a pink electric scooter doesn't mean you're on the girly side.

Some electric scooter manufacturers already produce pink electric scooters for their various models. But if your particular unit does not come in that shade, you can always have it customized, just like any other vehicle.

You can either do it yourself using vinyl decals or an airbrush, or you can have it professionally done by somebody who also paints cars. Turning an electric scooter pink is the same as turning a car pink, so it's really not a hassle.

Since pink is not really a color of choice for most people, some electric scooter makers offer pink models as a limited editon version. So if you want a factory original, you should watch out for these kinds of offers. Besides, electric scooters are designed not just to be functional, but also stylish, so finding a pink electric scooter might not be a problem.

How choose to design your electric scooter is up to you. Since you're the one who will be going around town in it, it would be nice to add a little, or a big, something to identify the vehicle as yours.

In addition, painting your electric scooter pink is a great deterrent for would-be thieves, who might have second thoughts trying to steal a vehicle that is very noticeable on the road.

Electric scooters are a relatively new concept, so the demand for them right now is just staring to grow. Thus, it is not surprising that it's price remains at $600 to $900 levels. While this can be a put off for many potential buyers, the fact that you can also buy used versions of these electric scooters is a comforting thought.

Buying a used electric scooter is a practical decision. Most of the used electric scooters being resold were previously owned by people who just receive the units from Medicare, so finding a reasonable price for them is not difficult. You can scan the Internet, local Classifieds, and garage sales for sales like these.

There are many Internet Web sites that offer used electric scooters. The benefit of this is that you are most likely to find exactly what you are looking for online, as opposed to visiting physical sales, which have limited choices. If shopping online intimidates you, be sure to transact only with secure sites to be on the safe side.

Of course, as with any purchase, check the scooter for any signs of damage or overuse before you buy it. Find out where the scooter came from and how it was used. At this point, you will have to act on good faith, as you really can't be sure if the seller is telling you the truth. But, hey, if you're getting it rock-bottom cheap, it's a risk you will need to take.

The things you will need to look at when you're buying used scooter is its mileage, years of use, and past repairs. If the unit still covered by a warranty, you're lucky. But more often than not, these units have been resold because they have gone past the warranty stage.

When it comes to owning your own electric scooter, there is no need to go all out with the expense. With a little ingenuity, you can find the perfect electric scooter at more than half the cost. Just be patient enought to look for it.

Electric scooters are easy to use and maneuver, but any machine, when not properly operated can result in injury. Thus, even if you somehow underestimate the potential of an electric scooter to cause accidents, it is still very much possible, especially if you don't know how to ride it.

Here are some safety tips you should consider when purchasing and operating electric scooters.

- Buy a scooter that's right for your size. If you're too big for the unit, the chances of its toppling over forward or backward is huge. On the contrary, if you're too small, you might have a lot trouble making it go your way.

- Be careful with the installation process. There are some electric scooters where you will still have to do some preliminary work for it to be perfectly functional. If you doubt your ability to follow instructions, have it done at the store where you purchased it before you bring it. If it is a pride issue, think of it this way: suppose you forced yourself to install those parts yourself and they fell apart, who's to blame?

- Buy an electric scooter that fits your lifestyle. If you're the type who likes to go camping, don't buy a scooter that's too light or feeble to use on slightly rough roads. A four-wheel electric scooter is perfect for this kind of activity. A two wheeler could prove too light for comfort.

- Make sure all the features are working before you head out. Don't be too confident that having a broken headlight is okay. You never know, you could get stuck somewhere and be left riding in the dark.

Overall, the point of proper electric scooter use is maximizing functionality. IF you have no need for a four wheeler, don't get it. It will only take up space in your garage. Buy only what you need to spare yourself from the hassle of having to lug the thing around when one of its parts conks out.

In addition to that is safety. No electric scooter is a good scooter if you don't know how to use it well. Instead of getting convenience, you might only subject yourself to injury.

This is a rather subjective issue, but if you're looking for an electric scooter that would be best for your particular situation, then you should consider several factors first before you make a decision. There are many kinds and makes of electric scooters in the market, so choosing the best one can be a bit confusing. This article hopes to give you the basic things you need to look for when it comes to buying an electric scooter.

First, find out how much and how often you are going to use it. If you're just getting an electric scooter for emergency use, in case your car breaks down or you need a quick run to the nearby convenience store, then you're better off with the most basic electric scooter model. You can buy one for as low as $500.

However, if you're buying an electric scooter for everyday use, that is, for somebody who is handicapped or a senior citizen, you might want to invest in the higher models. In fact, the more stable the unit is, the better. In this case, a four-wheeled electric scooter is your best choice.

There are other types of electric scooters out there. You can have something that has just two wheels, while you can also own one that has three wheels. Of course, the four wheeler is the most stable and should be the one you're getting for your parents or, if you want, for your kid.

It would also be best to buy an electric scooter that won't take up so much space in your garage. The bulky scooters are not as big as cars, but they occupy garage space, nonetheless. If your parking lot is already cramped, you might want to buy an electric scooter that can easily be folded up. If you travel a lot and intend to bring your electric scooter around, you should buy something that can be disassembled. Just make sure you know how to put it back, of course.

Choosing the right kind of electric scooter can be a pretty daunting task. But if you know what you need and determined your budget, this should be a pretty easy decision. Electric scooters are not just functional, they can also be trendy. So, aside from its use, you should also factor in how it looks when you make that purchase.

Scooters are the transportations of choice for a growing number of people in the world today. Because these vehicles are easy to manage and can maneuver its way through just about any kind of traffic jam, more people are finding that it is practical compared to owning a car. In fact, sales of scooters are increasing along with the worsening of traffic conditions, much to the delight of motor manufacturers.

However, it doesn't end. Scooter manufacturers have also thought of a way to make traveling a lot easier and convenient for people who are handicapped and senior citizens through the creation and introduction of the electric scooter. As it name suggests, an electric scooter runs on electricity. It has to first be plugged into an outlet and charged before it can serve its purpose.

Are you looking to buy an electric scooter for your grandfather? There are many things you have to consider. And since buying electric scooters can be as confusing buying regular scooters (because there's so many kinds to choose from), it would be best to search what you need from the Internet to avoid wasting time at the showroom.

What are the things you need to consider when you buy an electric scooter? First, is it portable? Since you're buying for your grandpa, you'd want an electric scooter that can be brought along even if he goes from one state to another. There are electric scooter models that are foldable and can fit into a car's trunk easily, so this is the make you might be interested in.

Do you want a scooter with two wheels, three wheels, or four wheels? The additional wheels provide extra support for the rider. Four wheelers provide maximum stability. However, do be aware that the more wheels your electric scooter has, the heavier and bulkier it will become. Surely you'd want to buy something that is very safe for your grandpa's use.

Of course, when you're buying an electric scooter, you have to check reviews on it first. If consumer reports showed that it is prone to damage, common sense will tell you to look for another one. Electronic scooters are not cheap, so you have to make sure that you get the best value for your money.

Electric scooters are the 'in' thing for those with limited mobility nowadays. Senior citizens and the handicapped find that using an electric scooter is more convenient that getting around in a wheelchair because aside from the fact that they are easier to operate, they can also get them farther. Wheelchairs can go only as far as a few meters, but scooters can run for several miles.

But since electric scooters are still a relatively new concept, the price tag can be a bit overwhelming. For an ordinary electric scooter, you stand to spend around $700. This can be pretty steep for someone who works within a fixed budget. However, this doesn't mean that it is only for the rich. You can actually buy cheap electric scooters, if you only know how and where to find them.

First off, the Internet is a haven for just about any kind and brand of cheap electric scooter. You can buy an electric scooter for a lower price because it is out of date or if it has already been used. Before you make your purchase, however, you should find out the unit's history first and if it had undergone repairs in the past. Also, check its mileage and any signs of wear.

Second, check out vehicle auctions. Some people trade in their electric scooters to get a loan with creditors, and if these people are not able to pay, their scooters are sold to the public at a very low price. Not all vehicle auctions have electric scooters in their roster, but it's definitely worth a try.

Third, watch out for store sales. Yes, even electric scooters are included in motor parts sales, sometimes, so it's best to be friends with the staff so you get information about a sale earlire than anybody else does. This way, you get a headstart on the kinds of electric scooters available and you can search the Internet for reviews.

Cheap electric scooters are possible, so if you don't have much money, you don't have to worry. All you need is a little bit of skill, ingenuity and resourcefulness to catch the sales when they happen.

I noticed that there are a lot of sites offering free music video codes for sites like myspace.com and xanga.com that have shown up in the last few months.

It used to be you had to go through the process of recording the videos, converting to a digital file, then finding space and bandwidth to host them. Nowdays, with YouTube, Google Video, MSN's offering, not to mention all the free image hosting and free video hosting sites, the storage/bandwidth is not an issue.

But where do these files come from? Some are from the record companies themselves, trying to control they media properties while still getting it into the viral hands of fans. Some are POSSIBLY rips, as I mentioned above, but probably most are legally licensed.

Free music video codes make it easy to place your favorite artist/band on your webpage. Just hope they service you use hangs around, otherwise there will be broken pages on your site…

Oh yea, and DO NOT TURN ON AUTOPLAY, PLEASE! :-)

Read the oldest stock market wisdom from the world renowned physicist.

This revelation had me surprised too. I was idly flipping through my old physics textbooks yesterday when it suddenly struck me. I was amazed to realize that Sir Issac Newton’s laws of physics points to so many profound and important rules in the stock markets today.

So, here we are… the physics of the stock markets.

Newton's First Law of Trading

"A Stock at rest tends to stay at rest and a Trending Stock tends to stay in trend unless acted upon by an equal and opposite reaction or an unbalanced force."

This law teaches us the same thing the old commodity traders will… that the trend is your friend. If a stock is trending sideways, it tends to stay sideways until a powerful enough market force takes it out of its trend. If a stock is trending up or downwards, it will tend to stay moving up or downwards until drastic changes happen to the company or the market at large creating an "equal and opposite reaction". We should therefore always trade in the direction of a trend and always be vigilant for signs of an "equal and opposite reaction" or the "unbalanced force". Such a force may take the form of a drastic change in the market sentiment at large or drastic change in the performance of the specific company in question.

Newton’s Second Law of Trading

"The acceleration of a stock as produced by a market consensus is directly proportional to the magnitude of that consensus, in the same direction as the consensus, and inversely proportional to the mass of the stock."

This law teaches us that a stock moves up or down into a trend due to a force created by market consensus. How much a stock moves up or down that trend is determined by the magnitude of the market consensus and how "massive" a stock is. By "massive" we are talking about the price of a stock. The more expensive a stock is, the more well established the company has been and the lesser in percentage you will make out of the same move in absolute dollar versus a smaller, less massive stock.

The force of the market consensus is directly proportionate to the event that spurred it. If a company produces a breakthrough product on a worldwide patent, it creates an extremely strong market consensus that is likely to take a stock very far. If a company merely scores a marginally higher earning this quarter, it is unlikely to produce a market consensus that will go very far.

Newton teaches us to not only look at what the news is but also how well established the company is in order to determine how much momentum it will produce in a given trend. The same breakthrough that drives a small company’s shares up by hundreds of percentage points may perhaps move a big company’s shares only by a fraction of that percentage.

Newton’s Third Law of Trading

"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

No need to explain this one in much detail, do I?

For every buying or selling, there must be an equal amount of buyers or sellers on the other side. The stock market is a zero sum game. For every buyer, there must be a seller and for every seller, there must be a buyer. The real question is, who is profiting from each of their buying and selling. There is really no such thing as more buyers today than sellers or vice versa. Every trader needs to understand that you can be on the wrong side of the table at anytime and only a sensible portfolio management system can help you go in the long run.

I have traded actively in the stock markets for over a decade and survived with ancient wisdom such as what you have read here. There is indeed wisdom to be found in every corner of our life and if we care to look carefully, we will never be in a lack of guidance.

There are two cardinal successful stock market trading rules that I am sure you are quite familiar with by now.

The first of the two most common stock market trading rules are to cut your losses short. The second of the two most common successful stock market trading rules are to let your profits run. However, you can take it one-step further by fine-tuning your trailing stop losses, and becoming more risk seeking once your stock is in profit. Increasing your risks, at the right time, can allow you to get all the profit you possibly can out of your system. You may wish to test the effects of these successful stock market trading rules by having a wider trailing stop loss than your initial stop, and see how this is reflected in your system.

For example, you could set your initial stop loss at two ATR but set your trailing stop loss as three ATR. This allows the stock, once it`s in profit, a little bit more room to move. You`re still limiting your risk at the beginning of the trade by keeping a tight stop loss; however you`re going to become risk seeking in a profitable situation. That is to say you`ll be willing to risk more once you`re already in profit.

Personally, I think this is one of the many successful stock market trading rules you can use to take it a step further than most people are willing to go. With this strategy, I also mix and match my stop loss methods. For example, in one of my stock market trading rules, I set my initial stop loss at 2.5 ATR, but my trailing stop loss is calculated using a completely different method. I use what`s known as the lowest low stop. The way this stop loss works is you find the lowest low in the last X number of periods, and base your trailing stop loss on it.

Now, for that trend following system, I actually find the lowest low in the last 40 days. I then position my stop one cent below this low. It`s almost as though it`s consulting the price action itself by identifying where the lowest low is, and this can be highly effective. Many times my stop has been set one cent below a support line.

The way this trailing stop loss works is that on each day a new trading day is added to the chart, and one of the old days drop off. I then find the lowest low in the last 40 days, and reposition my stop at that point, if it needs to be repositioned. This stop has been extremely valuable for me, and it may be a stop loss that you may want to consider testing.

But, before you go looking for that perfect trailing stop loss, realize that in it`s own way, it`s very similar to the initial stop. There is no perfect stop that will guarantee to get you out of the stock at the perfect time, and save you the most profit.

Sometimes it will work for you. Other times it won`t. The real key and secret of having a stop loss and an initial stop do their best for you is not how you calculate it, it`s just having them in place.

You need to find an initial and a trailing stop loss that you`re comfortable with. You also need to understand how they work so that the actions they direct you to take makes sense to you. How do you find a stop that you`re comfortable with?

Test them. Pick out a whole lot of charts of stocks that you`ve been looking to trade, and marking where you would receive an entry signal, set various initial stops and trailing stop losses. Progress through the trade, revaluing your trailing stop loss and see which one works the best.

Often successful stock market trading rules are designed with simple concepts that works best at this point. When you base your system on understanding, rather than optimization, you are more likely to stick with it. If you can come up with a good, straightforward set of your own stock market trading rules, you will be able to apply it across a number of markets on most trading instruments. Really, when designing any system around a set of stock market trading rules, all components should apply to this same principle. You want to keep things as simple as possible, that way it`s robust and can be applied to any market. As long as you follow this underlying principle, you`ll be on the right track.

If you are serious about making and keeping money by trading stocks, then there are three things you need to do, and do well.

Money management

Orders

Trading system

Money management

Money management comes first. Without a rock-solid method of managing your trading funds, you trading results will be only be fair at best. Money management is more than just knowing how much money you have tied up in a trade. It's a method of using the right portion of your trading account on any one trade relative to the perceived risk and reward.

There are a few things to consider to managing a trade successfully:

What is your account size?

How profitable is your trading system?

What is the initial amount at risk on a per share basis?

What is the profit potential?

Account size

Your account size determines how long you stay in the trading game. If you are skillful, then you will not require a large account. On the other hand, even if you are a new trader, you can use a small account as long as you control your risk.

Controlling the risk means never using more money then you need on any one trade. A very simple formula for stock market success is to risk less than 3% of your total account value on a single trade.

If you have a $10,000 account, this means you never lose more than $300 per trade. If your account drops to $9,000, then you risk less than $270.

As your account grows, while the total amount at risk increases, you still only risk a maximum of 3% of your account. Say your account is at $12,000, then your maximum amount at risk is $360.

In theory, this ensures that you never go broke! And that is of utmost importance.

Profitable

If your system is profitable, then you will typically win more money then you lose. While some consider the percentage of winners relative to the number of losers, nothing could be further from the truth.

It doesn't do you any good to have a system that wins on nine out of very ten trades if you give all of your gains back on the one loser. More important is that the winners overwhelm the losers.

A profitable trading system might have a third of the trades result in the maximum loss planned for, a third of the trades either make or lose a little money, and a third of the trades bring in the profits.

Risk

It's worth repeating, risk no more than 3% of your total account value on any one trade. If you keep this in mind, you are ensured of minimizing losses to your account. At what price you enter a stock and where you place your initial stop price are used to determine how many shares you trade.

Profit

The profit potential of a system is the "edge". If you can estimate how much money you *might* make over time, and if that profit comes from many trades over time, then you probably have a winning system.

A trading system will either have a profit target that determines when to enter AND exit (good) or it will tell you when to enter and keep you in a profitable trade as long as possible without giving back much, or any, gains (better).

Orders

No matter what trading pattern you use to enter a stock, you will make the most money by using the correct orders.

When you wait until a stock has proven it's intensions - typically by trading above the previous day's high for a buy, or below the previous day's low for a sell short - then having an order in place that captures that exact price is crucial.

Let's say your favorite trading pattern signals a buy for. If you are an end of day trader, then the next morning you watch the opening price for the stock. If the stock opens less then yesterday's high, you place a stop order to buy above the previous day's high. Even better is to include a limit price with that buy stop order.

How much above the previous day's high is your call. As long as it is greater than the previous day's high, you are making the stock prove that it is going up.

Sure, you give up some of the profit potential. But you are more likely to turn a profit with a stock that is moving in your favor.

Once you are in a position, then you need to protect yourself from loss. If your method of picking stocks is good, then it's unlikely that the stock will revisit the current prices. Continuing with the buy example, to protect your account from a catostrophic loss, place a good-till-cancel sell stop order below the recent low. If yesterday's low is lower then the current day's low, that's where the sell stop order goes.

And make certain that the order does not include a limit. Stocks can and do gap down. Expecting that you will have a sell order filled at your stop price is a quick way to the poor house.

Trading system

Your choice of what method to enter and exit stocks plays a critical part in your stock market sucess.

A great trading system looks for low risk opportunities to enter a stock. Knowing at exactly what price signal to enter and when to exit - even if it is for a small loss - will keep your account growing. As long as you consistently follow the rules layed out by a well designed trading plan, you can count on steadily growing your trading account.

My favorite trading pattern does a great job of identifying stock likely to move rapidly in your favor.

There is no reason to be trading stocks that are not ready to deliver the biggest gains in the least amount of time.

If you are serious about taking your stock trading to a higher level, then read about this trading pattern.

Regards,

So You Want To Buy Or Trade Shares?

The first thing you need to do if you are online, is check out online brokers such as TD Waterhouse or E-Trade. Opening an account is normally free, and once it is opened you can deposit money into your account so that you can trade.

What Type Of Broker?

The cheapest is an execution only broker. What this basically means is that you aren't given any advice on when to buy or sell the shares/trade. Their job is to provide a quote and fill the order.

What Is An Order?

All participants in the market want to do one of three things. They either want to buy, sell or hold. You only need a broker when you want to buy or sell. Holding the shares takes care of itself ( and is the least expensive while your stocks are going up in price ).

Online Trading Platforms

By having an account online, it allows you to buy or sell shares automatically ( i.e. without human intervention in the most part ). Once you place an order to buy or sell, you normally have a limited amount of time to accept or turn down the price offered.

How Are Prices Made Up?

Prices consist of a bid and offer, with the Mid price being the actual price of the share. Most stocks have one or more marketmakers that set the price for the stock so they can make money on the spread in return for making a market in that stock. For instance, you may have a stock priced at 136p with a 134p bid and 138p offer. This means the marketmaker will buy the stock off you for 134p and sell it to you for 138p.

Okay I Want To Place The Trade.

So in the example above you agree to buy at 138p and the deal goes through. Congratulations you now own shares in Company 'X'. If you pay the full offer price, it is also known as the 'touch' price. One thing to check is the normal market size for the shares you wish to buy. If the amount you require is above NMS, then the marketmakers can choose a different price to the 'screen price'

First a stock is a share in the ownership of a company. stock represents a claim on the company's assets and earnings. As you acquire more stock, your ownership stake in the company becomes greater. Whether you say shares, equity, or stock, it all means the same thing.

Stock Trading

Stock trading is done at an exchange, which are places where buyers and sellers meet and decide on a price. Some exchanges are physical locations where transactions are carried out on a trading floor. The other type of exchange is a virtual kind, composed of a network of computers where stock trading is done electronically.

Stock Market

A stock market is nothing more than a super-sophisticated farmers market linking buyers and sellers. You can use a broker for stock trading who act as a "market maker" for various stocks. They may match up buyers and sellers directly but also maintain an inventory of stocks to sell to other stock trading parties.

Online Investing

If you are new to investing online, don't put your entire life savings into an online account. Start with a smaller sum, which will be easier to handle and keep track of. Once you feel confident, you can then decide to add more money to your investing online account.

Once online, many investors tend to concentrate on stocks, specifically large-cap domestic stocks. While these stocks should make up part of your portfolio, they shouldn't be ALL of it! Take into account your time horizon and risk tolerance to develop a well-balanced portfolio of stocks, bonds, and cash.

Choosing A Brokerage Account / Broker

If you're new to investing online and are looking to open a brokerage account, there are some important facts you should know before choosing a broker. Each one has strengths and weaknesses, but not everyone sees a broker in the same way. For example, if you're comfortable finding your own research for investing online, then the deep discount brokers will work well for you.

Ask yourself…

What services are offered? Do they have research available? What is the cost to you for investing online? What are the real commission costs to do a trade, including any handling fees? How are confirmations sent to you — by e-mail, by snail mail, by phone? Can you enter orders by phone, by e-mail, directly on-line? Does it cost extra to call and talk to a broker for help with your account?

Final Thoughts On Stock Trading

Spreading risk is critical to long term success in stock trading. If you have invested your entire savings into one company and that company’s stock falls by 50%, you have lost half your savings in one go. If you have spread your risk by investing in 4 companies, and one of the companies stock falls by 20%, you only lose in one area. Spreading risk assures you that if a stock goes down you have others to balance your situation.

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.

The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track specific ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are also easily spotted.

With the real-time reporting at hand, the effectiveness of the changes made will be assessed quickly. There would be time to sort out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The ever-changing demands would be met while generating cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible tools are also allowing webmasters to group web pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will provide them some accurate insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing best.

The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. Thus increasing the possibility that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its constant maintenance. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.

Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.

There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.

OK. You have joined a couple of dating services and written a killer profile. You’ve uploaded a good picture and now you are going to chat with a contact. What now? How do you start separating those who have real potential and those who don’t have any potential at all? You need to find out something about who this strange woman really is and not just who she wants you to believe she is. It would be nice if women wore labels like "Gold Digger" or "Daddy's girl"….but they don’t so it’s up to you to find these things out and you can’t just ask direct questions. You need to know what mistakes you can avoid making and how to impress this lady if you decide you want to do that.

After you are past the initial small talk, ask her, "What are the biggest mistakes guys make when dating online?" Listen carefully to her answers. She’s going to tell you a lot about herself and her views on men in general.

Next you should ask her, "What do you really think about online dating?" Now she will tell you if she has had any bad experiences dating o line and help you to avoid making the same things wrong.

Now for the all-important one….."What caused the break up in your last relationship?" If she puts all the blame on the guy, you should probably move on to the next prospect. If she takes all the blame herself, you should probably do the same. If she says the breakup was by mutual consent or that the relationship just wasn’t right for either of them, you’ve heard the right answer. Move forward but always with caution.

Asking the right questions will give you insight and make you more confident when you meet the lady for the first time.

People have taken to online dating like a duck takes to water…because it works…or, at least, it can work. Women are, in general, terrified of meeting a man that she has been chatting with online. All they have heard about are the scary things that can happen…and, I must say, they have a right to be careful to the extreme. That’s not only wise but vital. So what’s a nice guy to do? You aren’t a pervert, a sexual predator, or a weirdo. You are just a nice guy looking for “the” girl for you.

You must be patient. Don’t press her for personal information like her real name or where she lives. Keep your conversations light and fun until she feels comfortable talking with you online. Don’t try to rush her into meeting face-to-face. She will think you are desperate or a pervert. Patience. Patience. Patience.

Be absolutely honest about your physical appearance and job. A good relationship has never been, and will never be, built on lies and deceit. Eventually she will find out the truth anyway and there you are back at square one.

A picture really is worth a thousand words. Post many pictures of yourself doing your everyday activities and make them full body shots, not just head shots. If you were dating a girl in the real world she wouldn’t just see your head.

Once the discussion has been opened about meeting face-to-face for the first time, suggest that you meet in a very public place, during daylight hours and that she bring a friend with her. After all, you have nothing to hide. You’ve told her the truth about yourself and she has already seen a lot of pictures of you. The only thing left is to make her feel safe meeting you.

Heads up, gents. Online dating can open up new doors of opportunities with a little help from real world dating tips that work. Spice up your matchmaking with some of these ideas.

Looks Count
Comment on how attractive she is. Yes, women do want to know they are pretty, even if they’re online and you can’t see them and have no idea. So in your communications, ask questions that would help you know, but in an unobtrusive way like – how do you wear your hair? And then say how attractive that must look.

Kindness Counts
Point out nice things or the lemonade in life – nice things the other person has mentioned, nice acts the person has done, good things on the news latterly, etc. Be upbeat, and forget those lemons in life. Even in email a person can shout, by using all capital letters. So show manners and kindness. Keep swearing, unkind remarks, prejudice, etc. out of your communications. And "do unto others…."

So add some helpful real-world tips that do work (a lot of the time anyway) into your online dating equations. And come up on the positive side of romance – and enjoy more lemonade!

A couple of popular online activities are sharing recipes and bidding at auctions. And both of these easily fit well into online dating opportunities, one of the most popular online activities for singles today.

To help many dates get better acquainted online, here’s what potential cyber-dates do.

Sharing Recipes – People get tired talking about the weather. So a popular subject to turn to is food. Sharing favorite foods and recipes helps break the ice and even forms friendships over culinary skills – or lack of – and tastes. Search your favorite search engine for “free recipes” to share. Take photos of your culinary creations and share them with your date, too.

Bidding at Auctions – Ebay auctions sell nearly anything and everything! So surf around and enter searches like the dates you were in middle school. Share cool memorabilia photos of old games and toys from when you were a child or when your parents or grandparents were little; The Dating Game, Oscar Mayer wiener whistles, The Partridge Family Album, Bobby Sherman’s Album, 45’s and more.

Online dating can be an educational and fun experience. So learn more about each other and have fun while you’re at it. Take a cyber-stroll down memory lane together and see what’s cookin’.

All types of everyday activities are growing in popularity online these days like sharing photos and greeting cards. In fact, both of these even go hand in hand with online dating opportunities, one of the most popular online activities for singles today.

Before actually meeting in person, many dates get acquainted online first. Here’s how.

Photos - As a wonderful keepsake of your budding romance, create an online photo album for your new cyber-mate. Include digital photos of favorite outdoor scenes, pets, flowers, cars, silly moments, your computer corner or laptop, etc. Then you’ll even have more to discuss during online dates via emails and chat rooms. Search for “photo albums” to find places that store your photos.

Greeting Cards- Regardless of where the person lives, you can mail a greeting card. If privacy and security is an issue, check into renting an inexpensive P.O. Box (check the Yellow Pages). You do not have to be an artist to make something homemade and special for the new friend in your life. Even making a special, personalized greeting card would be appreciated and show your date that you care enough to take the time needed to make something by hand. Search your favorite search engine for online greeting cards to send, too. They range from free to low cost and can be sent in a click.

So get online and get active! No need to risk meeting in person until you get more familiar with each other online first. So take the online plunge!

Just like regular real-world relationships, online relationships need tending, to grow over time. Here are some quick growing tips.

Take time and make time. Does your online date get in touch with you regularly? Do you do the same? Neglecting virtual meetings can be considered abuse or neglect, so treat each other’s time with respect. If it’s lacking, might mean time to move on.

Communication needs to “feel” right for both of you. If one of you is too pushy about meeting, for instance, that can give off bad vibes. So don’t rush. Take time to learn more about each other and develop trust.

Respect each others privacy. Don’t share personal email addresses or digital photos online, for example, if your online date sent you the information in confidence.

Share special online and offline fun times. Online – send greeting cards, links to favorite places to upload digital photos of your favorite pet, download music and video clips, post on favorite forums of interest. Offline- if you’re exchanging addresses or post office boxes, send print greeting cards and postcards, small items from your area (like a key chain with your state bird).

Tend your online relationship. Water it with care and over time it can sprout and grow.

Online dating can be fun. But don’t neglect safety and common sense when you try to hook up with a mate. At minimum, take caution in the following areas.

Protect Your Computer

Take care of your equipment and systems before you head out into the Internet realm. You need to have a firewall and anti-virus protection for your email and for when you search websites and interact online. At the bare minimum, you may want these two solutions that are offered at no charge to home computer users (i.e. not for commercial use):

Free Firewall Download: ZoneAlarm www.zonelabs.com
Free Anti-Virus Download: AVG Anti-Virus www.grisoft.com

Protect Yourself

Take care of yourself, too, by choosing appropriate dating sites. Seek and choose a reputable online dating service. How? Begin by asking around with friends, neighbors, co-workers and others you may know who have tried online dating, and see which places they recommend. In addition, search “online dating services” and keep a notebook of their URLs or website links, the fees, rules and regulations, complete contact information of each and any other useful information that spikes your interest. Then compare each place. Try only those places where you feel safe. Avoid the others.

So take care. Arm your computer – and yourself- with the correct tools and knowledge!
